Score: Medium
As UFC’s featherweight champ from Hawaii would say, “It is what it is”.
That about sums it up for this economy rucksack from Everest… not the mountain, it wouldn’t stand a chance there.
I’m talking Everest the company and their practical, good enough bag.

This is an extremely basic backpack, but it’s also very sturdy and solid. I liked how well built that this backpack is. For example, the zippers are very high quality. On the main zip, there are two pull tabs, so you can zip it up from either direction and meet in the middle. The stitching is reinforced in all of the key places. This backpack should hold together for years. The material feels like canvas on the outside, and on the inside of the backpack, it feels like plastic.
It is a pretty small backpack, but that also makes it a great choice for kids. The straps are also small and so they den’t have much padding, but if you don’t carry heavy super heavy stuff in the backpack, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
It’s very attractive and basic, so I think you’ll like it if that’s what you’re looking for in a backpack.
Pros:
+My pink one is small and cute, but there are also manly colors
+Holds a lot
+Extremely sturdy
Cons:
-No internal pockets
-A little small

We bought this backpack for our son whose favorite color is green. The “lime green” color is more like fluorescent green. It’s more yellow than lime. He LOVES it, but it’s a lot lighter than I expected. It is very well made, and the straps have a lot of room to be adjusted to a longer length for older kids or small adults.
The straps have medium padding– not the most. It’s VERY light. A (1″) 3-ring binder and an 8″x10″ workbook will both fit in the main part. A standard hard pencil case fits in the front pouch. It would definitely not hold a binder and larger school textbook without seriously stressing the zipper. It is not water resistant or waterproof; his water bottle tipped over and leaked through it. But it is a great size for preschoolers, day trips with a change of clothes or diapers, wipes & snacks.
I think this is a great bag for the price, and I am very pleased with the sturdy construction.

This is a perfect size for my daughter in kindergarten. The black with butterflies is a nice dark pattern so it doesn’t get stained even after she drags it on the floor. The material is lightweight but sturdy, seams have held up well through several months of abuse. For the price, it’s a great value and I don’t have a problem with character based backpacks but this is slightly “classier” so that is a positive as well.
The picture shows the bag with the straps tightened all the way on an skinny tall girl that wears little kids size 6 clothing.
